Janell has been married to Rob since 1984 and resides in Virginia with their three children and faithful golden retriever, who barks her away from the computer at least once a day! An experienced business woman, teacher and seasoned performer, Janell was Founding Director of Bright Lights Performing Arts Studio until diagnosed with Congenital Lumbar Spondololythesis in 1998. This life-changing event thrust Janell into a crisis of identity and launched her writing and speaking ministry, Fresh Words for a Fresh Start. As a keynote speaker and expository Bible teacher, Janell combines her relentless love of research and study with a passion for people, making every event, no matter how big or small, memorable.
