With a passion to help Christian communicators share their messages with audiences around the world, she utilizes her multi-faceted skills to empower speakers to be the best they can be.
She has stories included in Making the Blue Plate Special by Florence Littauer, Marita Littauer and Lauren Littauer Briggs, and Your Spiritual Personality by Marita Littauer.
Over the years, Karen has been a musician, speaker, corporate trainer, writer, certified personality trainer, virtual assistant, and Bible teacher. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida in a committed and active Christian family, she grew up in a musical environment traveling the southeast region. Karen started playing drums at age 11 and later playing bass guitar for local Christian bands with styles ranging from southern gospel to contemporary Christian. She wrote several Christian songs that were recorded by local artists.
Having owned and operated her own virtual assistant business, Power Communications, since 1994, Karen continues to focus on the needs of churches, ministries and small businesses. In 2007, this business expanded and changed names to become Christian Speaker Services.
She has been a facilitator at the Glorieta Christian Writers Conference, Pitney Bowes New Sales Manager Training, and Personality Principles Advanced Personality Training Workshop. Karen is available to speak at Writer and Speaker conferences. Her topics include, "How to Take Your Speaking from a Hobby to a Career", "Building Your Speaking Platform" and "The Power of Working with a Speaking Agency."
Karen loves to help people, especially those in speaking/writing ministry, spread their message to those who need to hear it. She draws from the various areas of her personal and professional experience to offer a variety of services to help the Christian communicator grow their message and ministries. Karen has a passion to help speakers and writers reach their full potential and regularly coaches speakers in the business/marketing aspects with private coaching sessions.
She currently resides in the Dallas, TX area.
