Janet Birkey
Rediscover the passion, the excitement, the wonder of it all!
"My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
Colossians 2:2-3
How often do you look at others with envy and think, “If only…” Far too many people are leading “lives of quiet desperation” and are longing to connect with something greater than what they are currently experiencing. As a Christian who has cycled in despair and defeat, Janet shares how to get off the treadmill of defeat and on the road to fulfillment. Although a Christian since early childhood, Janet finally came to the point in her Christian life where she realized she was asking the question, "Is this all there is? Where is the passion....the enthusiasm...?" While she knew beyond any doubt that she was a Christian, Janet had never experienced what it was like to have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. After all, the list of do's and don'ts was way too long to allow a relationship to develop! Finally, Janet decided to try the only thing left: Bible study and prayer time. These missing steps changed everything for Janet and allowed her to rediscover the missing thing in her Christian walk - Christ!
Encouraging others to grow by helping them connect with God, each other and the world around them.
Passion, excitement and wonder radiate as Janet enthusiastically helps Christians re-ignite their relationship with Jesus Christ. By sharing real-life humorous happenings, her sometimes all-too-human thought processes, and the gift of music, Janet applies Scripture to our everyday living situations and shows us how we can be successful wherever God has placed us. Audiences will laugh and cry their way through presentations as they are given the tools to find hope and joy in Jesus Christ.
Janet also has more than 20 years of experience as a Christian musical artist, enabling her to add music to any of her presentations as a solo artist or worship leader for your event.
Janet and her husband, John, have two children and live in Clovis, New Mexico.
